Last month we read the book "Holes" by Louis Sachar as a family. This past weekend we dug a 5'X5' hole of our own. Brett started when it was about 100 degrees outside. The kids pretended to each be a characters in the book and I was the "warden". We made our own Camp Green Lake in the front yard. Okay-we are not just crazy people who like to bring books to life. We started our egress basement windows. We have to dig two 5'X5' holes. It just so happened we finished this great book at the same time. If you haven't read the book, get a copy, sit out in the heat, and read it to your family. When your done-dig a hole if you want!
