Every once in awhile I get this yearning to create. I wouldn't say I'm "creative" but I do like to create something that did not exist before. I saw this idea at a friend's house (Thanks Amy!)and had a perfect spot in my kitchen for this creation. I had intentions of taking pictures of each step but (as you can see) I didn't. First I bought metal sheets (Amy got them from a Heating/Cooling business). I found a frame that fit the metal sheets. I taped (yes, masking tape) the sheets together, then to the back of the frame. Next, modge podge scrapbook paper to the metal sheets (tape or other adhesives would work). Get ribbon to go in between the scrapbook paper to hide seems. Last, take glass out of picture frame. Put modge podged paper into frame. You now have a magnetic framed collage board. My next step is to create some cute magnets. That will be for a different day! 
I LOVE IT!! I think my kids could use some in their rooms for all their coloring projects. This should be on my list 'to do'. Thanks for the idea. yours turned out super cute. i love the paper:) BTW i've done those magnets, they take about 2 seconds, super easy.

ReplyDeleteI have a magnet board which just seems plain now. Oh the things you can do with a little modge podge. I love HOLES. That is our end of summer book. We are going to have backyard movie night with Holes as the feature.
