Gone is September

Like most of you, our kids started school this past month. Porter in 3rd grade, Meg in 5th, Grace started Kindergarten, and Annie in preschool. So far all the kids are enjoying their teacher/classes. Grace has adjusted to Kindergarten. She loves it. I'm doing a co-op preschool with Annie. I'm her teacher every 7th week. Two days a week just isn't enough for her. It's fun that she is starting to be a little more social. She's my buddy for the mornings!

We took a little family getaway to Yellowstone & Island Park. Grace found sticks that looked like antlers. She carried them every

where! We spent a day in Yellowstone then 2 days in Island Park with my parents and sister, Lindsey. The weather was beautiful and we had a relaxing time. I think summer is officaly over!

Last week Annie turned 4! This picture is her reaction to finding out the bag has a pillow pet inside. She's wanted one for months! Annie had a little "Tangled" party with a few friends. Then we had our family party in the evening. After 3 girls, I made my first attemt at a Pampered Chef barbie cake. I'm not a cake maker but was happy with the way this one turned out. Plus, Annie loved it!

Our sweet Grace recived the "Student of the Month" award for September. The theme was "respect and kindness". So proud of her. She was so nervous to shake the principals hand! She did great!

Perfect gift from G&G Walker. Annie looks like Repunzel!

We surprised my mom with a birthday party last weekend. Her and Annie share a birthday but we weren't able to get together on the birthday day. My sisters and I put together a surprise for Grandma and parted in Poky a few days later. Had a blast! Love you girls!

  1. I love your update! The first day of school photos are priceless. Can't believe how time flies. So proud of Grace for being student of the month. She is such a sweet girl. I am such a lucky grandma to have a birthday with Annie. I love how she tells people that we share a birthday. So fun! We loved having your family at the cabin for a couple of days. Those are treasured memories for this grandma and grandpa.
