Ode to Joy

A piano is something I've always wanted in our home. My Grandma Walker left me a large upright that has been in storage. Over the summer we moved the upright piano from Pocatello into our new home. A piano tuner came. Sadly, the old upright wouldn't hold a tune. I was bummed! Meg should have started piano a year ago. I went on the search for a piano. We couldn't afford a brand one. Do we go electric? After lots of searching we found the perfect piano. It is used but in great shape. I loved the size (okay, Brett loved the size). I loved the color. I love the sound of piano music in my home. The first song Meg learned was "Ode to Joy" by Beethoven. She now takes monthly piano lessons. I have started teaching Porter. I still get a small pit in my stomach thinking of how much money we spent but that pit is filled with beautiful piano music.

  1. I miss that sound in our home. I love it when the grandchildren play the piano when they visit. You will never be sorry you made that valuable purchase.
