Porter turns 8!

Last Friday Porter turned 8! Wow! He really seems to be growing up. His pants to0 short, he's growning out of his shirts, and his shoes are too small. What a fun boy he is. Being the only boy he's taken on the role of sister teaser. I think he likes their high pitched screams! I am thankful Porter is a good kid. He often comes in the kitchen while I'm fixing dinner and asks to help cook.
Porter started his birthday with breakfast in bed. Crepes and sausage were his request.

He got to open his presents before school. I love the pictures of him with his sisters. They all love him!
That evening he had his friend birthday party. Porter decided on a LEGO theme. This was so much fun. Perfect for 8 year old boys. They are trying to see which team could build the tallest LEGO tower in 5 minutes. They really didn't need any games. A bucket of LEGO's and boys to build with were all they needed.
Party Kids!

I tried to make Porter's cake look like a LEGO brick. My cakes never turn out as I imagine them! Oh well! A candy store in Twin Falls sells candy LEGO bricks. The kids really loved those.
I sewed little draw string bags for each boy. I had bought a random bag of LEGO's on ebay. I filled the bags with LEGO's and candy. Porter had a great day full of presents, parties, cake, and lots of Happy Birthday's. He looks forward to his birthday all year. I hope he had fun! Now he'll be baptized in a few weeks. We love Porter!

  1. What an awesome mom you are!! No matter how busy life gets you always make time for your kids. Porter must feel so special with all the love showered on him. Happy Birthday to a terrific boy!
I think the job of a lone brother with all those girls is to TEASE. Remember your lone bro. Seems like you Steph were the one who got most of his teasing. Maybe it was the high pitched scream.....
